Overview

Programme Leader for BSc (Hons) Sport Management at University Centre Shrewsbury, part of the department of Sport and Community Engagement, since September 2015.  Georgina was formerly course director of postgraduate courses in Sport & Event Management at Coventry University, and undergraduate course director in the same department before that.

Georgina brings a business management background to the department, with experience of working in industries from banking to sport and agriculture before joining universities.  She actively competes in regional and national level dressage and has run small sport businesses and managed large ones.

Georgina currently teaches on the following modules:

Introduction to Sport Management (level 4)

Introduction to Sport Marketing (level 4)

Sport in Society (level 4)

Research

Interests include people in the sport industry, volunteer management and sustainability issues for sport.  She is passionate about the development of students and most enjoys seeing the progress of young people through their educational journey.
