Overview

Jason leads the FdSc programme in Sports Coaching and is an active community sports coach himself, working both within the voluntary club and school environment. He contributes to teaching at all levels of the FdSc, BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching programmes and the BA (Hons) Sports Development programme at the Warrington Campus. 

In addition, Jason works closely with a number of external partners in the local community (e.g. Warrington School Sport Partnership and the Borough Council's Arts and Sports Engagement team) to provide a Higher Education perspective, share views and maintain a collaborative working relationship.

Teaching

Jason's areas of specialism include Sport and Exercise Psychology and Coaching, and he currently teaches on the following modules:

  • Research Methods (Level 5)
  • Research Skills for Sport and Physical Exercise (Level 5)
  • Sport Interventions: Behaviour Change (Level 5)
  • PE and Youth Sport (Level 6)

Jason also provides dissertation supervision for students with an interest in the psychology of sport/exercise and/or coaching.
