We understand that the decision to come to
university can be a difficult one and we will do our best to provide the
support that you need to make the most of your time here. To reflect this, our entry requirements are
more flexible and applications will be considered on individual merit, academic
background, motivation, interests and relevant experience.
However,
we do expect some evidence of recent study at an advanced level within the five
years prior to your application. This
may include traditional qualifications, such as A Levels, or may involve
non-traditional qualifications, including Access to HE Diploma, Open University
Credits or CACHE Diploma.
All
applications for full-time study should be made through the Universities and
Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
Our
mature students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including those who
have started a degree after raising a family, those who are looking for a
career change, and those who have chosen a degree as a hobby during their
retirement.
If
you are not sure whether you hold appropriate qualifications, we do provide an
advisory service for mature students, and our WP Officer will be happy to
discuss your options with you. Your first step is to send the details of your
qualifications and experience to our WP Officer, outlining which programme(s)
you are interested in. Our adviser will be able to assist you to choose the
right programme, as well as explain which course of preliminary study might be
needed before you could enter higher education.
