Taking part in one of our residential events will allow you to get
the information you need in order to decide whether university is for
you.
The University of Chester
currently runs Summer Schools for young people from backgrounds where going to
university is the exception rather than rule. You could, for example, live in
an area where few young people go on to higher education, or you could have a
disability or special educational need.
Summer Schools are a great
opportunity to find out about university. Experience first hand the differences between school or college and
university!
You will be able to live in student accommodation and work
alongside our current students and university lecturers on practical projects
related to courses that you could study at university.
Find out how a degree can
help to influence your future employability, learn about the world of student
finances and get tips on writing a successful application to university.
But it's not all work and
no play! The evening activities will allow you to relax, socialise and have
some fun with many of the new friends you will very quickly make.
And everything is paid for -
travel, food and activities.
