Dr Nicky Shaw
Senior Lecturer
Nicky joined Chester Business School as a visiting lecturer in 2020, teaching in charitable organisational design within the Tourism and Professional Development programme, before becoming a part-time Senior Lecturer in 2024. Prior to that, Nicky worked in the not for profit sector as an executive leader within national charities within the health and social care arena where she led in strategic development, operational design and delivery, change management and service transition. Qualified in Social Work, and Leadership and Strategic Management, Nicky recently gained a Professional Doctorate at Chester University titled ‘charitable organisations and ambidexterity.’ Nicky is a member of the Work Based Integrated Studies (WBIS) Team where she supervises and supports doctoral and masters level students to evaluate, synthesise and apply professional knowledge within fields of applied research.
