Clearing is an opportunity to apply fresh for a 2024 university course, any time after 5^th July 2024.

There are lots of different reasons people apply to university through Clearing. You can apply through Clearing if:

• You’re applying after 30^th June – if you’ve already researched universities but ended up applying later than the original UCAS deadline, you will have automatically been entered into Clearing.
• You haven’t applied at all yet – no problem, you can still apply through Clearing.
• You applied before 30^th June but didn’t receive any offers, or have decided that you no longer want to accept any of your offers. Perhaps your circumstances have changed, or you’ve had a change of heart.
• Come results day, you didn’t meet the conditions of your offers. If this is the case for you, don’t worry - you won’t be alone. At this point, you can now enter Clearing to find another university.

Applying through Clearing is an easy and straightforward process.

During the Clearing period (5^th July - 21^st October), our lines are open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5.30pm, and on a Friday from 9am to 4.30pm. However, we have extended hours on the following days:

Thursday 15^th August: 8am – 7pm

Friday 16^th August: 8am – 6pm

Saturday 17^th August: 9am – 5pm

Sunday 18^th August: 10am – 4pm

Saturday 24^th August: 9am – 5pm
