The support I received from the staff really helped me, especially in the final year.

Jennifer studied on the LLB Honours Degree between 2006 and 2009.  Due, partly, to her involvement with the RAF University Air Squadron, Jennifer decided that she wanted to join the RAF on a full time basis. She was accepted into the RAF in 2010 and started her officer training at RAF Cranwell in January 2011. This lasts for 8 months and Jennifer will then move to Portsmouth to undertake her trade training. She will ultimately graduate from her training as a Personnel Support Officer.

On being asked about studying law at Chester, Jennifer states:

"I loved studying law at Chester, the course was so interesting and the support I received from the staff really helped me especially in the final year. One of the main positives of the course was that all the lecturers went out of their way to help you with the course."

In relation to why Jennifer chose Chester, she indicates:

"Chester just seemed like an obvious choice, the campus just seemed to be the right size for what I was looking for in a university and if offered so many sports and activities. The city itself is also beautiful and is somewhere I visit regularly even now that I have left. My hometown was Conwy North Wales but whilst I was studying in Chester I lived in halls and then I moved into a house just outside of the university."

On the student social life and clubs and societies, Jennifer states:

"The social life was great, I could not have asked for better. I also played netball and football for the university.  I also got involved in extra-curricular activities with the Law School such as helping with Open Days and I also participated in a discrimination law conference organised by Ms Chantal Davies, a Senior Lecturer in the Law School."
