Meeting (and challenging) politicians

Posted on 14th January 2014

Politics students recently had the opportunity to take part in an all-day meet, greet and question session with politicians.

It took place in the beautiful Manchester Town Hall with students even getting a chance to climb theclock tower! The day involved meeting activists, councillors, the leader of the council (on budget day), MEP candidates (for our very own hustings), an MP and an MEP.

The focus was on appreciating how politics functions at different scales, from the local, to the national and right through to the European. In an awe-inspiring setting students took to the opportunity to question, challenge and learn from this unique experience.
