Close_JIn the Academic Year 2013-14 Dr Jo Close drove forward a number of changes to the EN6310 Dissertation module for English Language students in the Department of English with the aims of developing a peer support network for students and improving the student experience.  The Faculty identified the importance of such an ionnovation which may well prove advantageous in other departments.

Dr Dawn Llewellyn initiated and coordinated an interdisciplinary programme of training and research to meet the generic and specific needs of postgraduate students in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, to expose candidates to international scholarship, present their work, and foster a dynamic research community.  Dr Llewellyn created opportunities for postgraduate students to learn about academia, careers, interdisciplinary methodologies and methods, and to enhance their scholarly formation, collegially. An archive of the films and accompanying material came be found at the TRS research seminar pages.
