Doctor of Medicine

The Doctor of Medicine (clinical MD) is a research degree which also provides clinical training, equivalent to that needed to take MRCP examination.  Students will gain GMC registration within 6 weeks of entry.

They typically involve a number of taught modules or negotiated studies at masters or doctoral level and a research project at doctoral level leading to the production of an individual thesis.

The courses are an alternative to traditional PhD study, and are particularly suited to professionals who are seeking CPD.
