Biography

Cemil Egeli is programme leader and senior lecturer on the MA in Clinical Counselling in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Education at the University of Chester, UK.

Teaching and Supervision

Cemil is programme leader and teaches across the modules on the MA in Clinical Counselling including areas around theory, ethics and professional practice as well as facilitating professional skills and personal development groups. He also supervises MA dissertations and has assisted with supervison on the Dprof in counselling and psychotherapy studies. Cemil previously led the UG programme in counselling skills.

Research and Knowledge Exchange

Cemil is interested in biographical and autoethnographic research methods. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Warwick where he is researching the experience of students in HE who come from dual heritage and mixed race or cultural backgrounds. Cemil also has an interest in music as well as spirituality and psychotherapy and is published in these areas.
