Biography
Simone Hatchard is a Criminology lecturer in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Education at the University of Chester, UK. Simone is module leader for the Level 5 Crime, Harm and Victimisation module and both teaches on a range of modules and supervises dissertation students.
Teaching and Supervision
Simone has previously taught for three years at the University of South Wales as module leader on the Understanding Homicide module, prior to lecturing at the University of Chester.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Simone Hatchard undertakes ethnographic research and is currently near the end of her PhD which focuses on Understanding the use of Digital Forensics in the Investigation and Prosecution of Major Crime in England and Wales. Simone's research areas of interest include homicide, major crime investigation and digital forensics.
