We have an award winning Student Support Department which is called Student Futures Support and Development, who arrange the annual Induction Week for New Students. Great care is taken to ensure a welcoming and well organised introduction to University life for new students.

The Chester Students’ Union arranges the Freshers’ Fair and the Clubs and Societies Fair during Induction week as well as arranging a full social programme. Joining clubs and societies is a useful way of making new friends.

The University of Chester offers extra support for students who have been in care. To qualify, students need to have been in Local Authority Care as a young person for at least three months. They are deemed to be a care leaver once they are 16.

The Chaplaincy at Chester and Warrington welcomes all students to the University of Chester in an open and inclusive environment guided by Christian values. Staff from academic and support departments and students are involved in various activities not only within the University but also the surrounding communities.
