Chester Business School Research

Our vibrant research environment is focused on positive change and sustainable growth in business and enterprise, creating a better future for organisations, businesses, and workers.
In this context, we are proud that our recent collaborative research with businesses has contributed to our Times Higher Education award of Business School of the Year. We have also participated in major industrial decarbonisation projects aimed at reshaping Cheshire’s manufacturing economy, culminating in the launch of a study on the skills required for the industrial decarbonization supply chain.
The Business School has research expertise in many other globally significant areas:
- Uses of Artificial Intelligence (in the context of analysing the environmental impacts, as well as its application in learning and teaching)
- Sustainability (especially in the contexts of food systems, marketing, tourism and work)
- Risk and scenario planning
- Future of work (especially sustainable, hybrid and flexible work)
- Organisational communication
- Sport and social media
- Consumer and employee psychology
- Digital transformation and entrepreneurship
