Celebrations for the University of Chester’s graduating class of March 2026

Graduates celebrated their achievements during six ceremonies which took place from Wednesday, March 25 to Thursday, March 26. The class of March 2026 was joined by their family, friends and lecturers to mark their success. 

The graduates and their guests were also joined by two honorary guests who received degree awards in recognition of their considerable positive impact on the communities around them. 

Esther Ghey received an Honorary Doctor of Letters (DLitt) in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the mental health of young people and their families, particularly her work with Peace and Mind UK. 

Adam Dandy received an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in recognition of his outstanding contribution to local communities, particularly his work with ShareShops UK. 

Professor Eunice Simmons, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chester, said: 
“We were delighted to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our graduates and to share this special moment with their families and loved ones. As they move forward into the next phase of their professional journeys, we commend their hard work and wish them every success in the years ahead. 

“We were equally proud to honour our distinguished guests, Esther Ghey and Adam Dandy, whose exceptional achievements and contributions have made a meaningful impact within our region and far beyond.”
