Chester degree show celebrates best in new art and design
The talent, commitment and achievements of ones-to-watch in the art and design world are being celebrated with a University of Chester end-of-year show.

Piece by Piece, the University’s School for the Creative Industries, Art, Design and Innovation Undergraduate Degree Show 2025 will run this month at Contemporary Art Space Chester (CASC), in Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces, and the Chester Visual Arts Gallery, both at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in Chester.
The show represents the culmination of three years of hard work by undergraduate students in Fashion Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography and Product Design.
Dr Sarah Heaton, Head of the Division of Art, Design and Innovation at the University said: “We are very proud of these, our soon-to-be-graduates, and we wish them all the greatest success as they embark on their careers, their next stage of study and their creative futures. It’s an inspiration to experience the work and ambition of the next generation of artists and designers as exemplified in this exhibition.”
The Piece by Piece exhibition will be open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays, between June 13 and June 28, from 10am to 4pm.
Dr Heaton added a thankyou to colleagues at Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces, Chester Visual Arts and the Grosvenor Shopping Centre for collaborating with students and staff on the use of exhibition spaces alongside the University’s own CASC.
Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces is at units 12, 14 and 16, and Chester Visual Arts Gallery is at unit 18 in the Grosvenor Shopping Centre.
