Latest Psychology podcast looks forward to the nail-biting final of The Celebrity Traitors

Dr Kevin Hochard, Dr Clea Wright and Professor Lisa Oakley have been offering insights through their podcast series, the Psychology Of...Celebrity Traitors, to share their expertise on the contestants’ behaviour. 

The new 35-minute episode, running alongside the BBC One series of the TV phenomenon with celebrities taking part, is available now on Spotify and goes into episodes seven and eight, with some predictions for tomorrow evening’s final. 

The Psychologists explore how: 

• Jonathan Ross acted like a faithful by reflecting their behaviour by rewarding the participants in the bridge task with a shield;

• How to be persuasive when you’re in a minority using the example of the theories of Nick and Joe and how consistency is the key in influencing others to your way of thinking; 

• The differences of intuitive thinking (Joe) and logical thinking (Nick); 
• Effective communication styles and how Cat uses her natural measured nature and Alan his natural theatrical demeanour to their advantage. 

Kevin said: “Our latest episode looks at what Cat was going through on that rickety bridge, our take on Jonathan Ross' banishment speech and our predictions ahead of next week's finale.
