University Psychology team discuss banishments and murders in The Celebrity Traitors

Dr Kevin Hochard, Dr Clea Wright, and Professor Lisa Oakley have been offering insights through their podcast series, the Psychology Of...Celebrity Traitors, to share their expertise on the contestants’ behaviour.

The new 35-minute episode, running alongside the BBC One series of the TV phenomenon with a celebrity twist, is available now on Spotify, and goes into episodes five and six, with further podcasts planned to include discussion on the series finale on November 6.

In the Psychology Of...Celebrity Traitors podcast episode released this week, Kevin, Clea and Lisa give their psychological take on:

• The round-table discussions showing emotion winning over fact 

• How the use of language and labels has shaped people’s views 

• The break-up of the ‘Joe-mance’ 

• Stephen Fry’s hypothesis on detecting potential sleep-deprived Traitors
