The University reserves the right to revise rates prior to 1st August 2026 in line with, for example, changes to higher education policy or inflationary increases in the University’s costs.

Each year, UKRI usually increases its PGR fee rates in line with inflation based on the Treasury GDP deflator. Minimum fees recommended by UKRI are adopted at the University of Chester for Home-level tuition fees for most postgraduate research courses.
