News and updates
We will keep you updated about all things Chester!
- Graduate Shout Out
You will remember receiving Student Shout Out each week whilst you were studying, well now as one of the newest members of our alumni family, you’ll receive our Graduate Shout Out e-newsletter once a month. We know how crucial the first few years after graduating are so we hope to help you along the way with this newsletter which will include the latest alumni news, success stories, opportunities, and events. And don’t forget to follow us on social media to stay up to date with even more great alumni content from the University of Chester.

For those of you who graduated more than three years ago, you will receive a monthly email update that includes the latest news and alumni updates.
- Achieve Magazine
You will receive ACH1EVE, our free alumni magazine, straight to your inbox annually. We are always on the lookout for alumni to contribute articles - if you would like to get involved, please email ACH1EVE@chester.ac.uk.
Lifelong Careers and Employability support
As a graduate of Chester, you are entitled to life long career advice and support this includes, advice from our experienced Career Consultants, the opportunity to get ahead in the graduate market, enhancing your employability by taking part in the Chester Difference Award, taking your business to the next level via the Venture Programme, Get a Grad Job scheme, access to graduate internships plus much more
University email address
You can still make use of your University email address (studentnumber@chester.ac.uk) for up to 18 months after you complete your studies.
You can access your email via Outlook.
Discounts on postgraduate study
You can currently receive 25% off a postgraduate taught Master’s course (full or part-time) with our Graduate Loyalty Discount*.
Events
As a valued member of our alumni community, you are also warmly invited to attend various talks, lectures and research seminars across the institution. You can also access a wide range of University networking and volunteering opportunities, such as mentoring, guest lecturing, and speaking at events.
Lifetime library membership
As a graduate, you are entitled to free lifetime library membership! This membership includes access to our on-site libraries and permission to borrow up to four items from the main library collections for three weeks at a time*. Graduates are welcome to purchase an exclusive guest membership to the University’s Fitness Suite and facilities, at the competitive price of £205 for 12 months.
Meeting up with friends on campus
If you are planning to arrange a reunion with your University friends or would like to visit our sites, please email us at alumni@chester.ac.uk to discuss the options available.
