Senior Lecturer
I joined the Midwifery lecturing team in January 2020. Previous to this role, I worked as a registered midwife providing all aspects of midwifery care to women and families in hospital and community settings. I also provided care for women & families as an NHS Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) practitioner and as a Maternity acupuncturist. I am passionate about provision of holistic and compassionate midwifery care to families, facilitating effective infant feeding and supporting perinatal mental health.
I am programme lead and senior lecturer for the BSc Midwifery course.
I lead modules in anatomy and physiology, in governance and teach infant feeding across the midwifery programme.
I have experience in supervision of undergraduate student dissertations.
My research interests include neonatal nutrition and the understanding and application of theoretical teaching into practice-based skills.

I am on the Nursing & Midwifery Council register as a midwife and am a member of the Royal College of Midwives.
