Professor Kelvin Leong, who works in the School’s Business, Accounting and Finance division, has been named a Distinguished Educator by Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) International, in acknowledgement of his outstanding contributions to teaching, educational leadership and innovation in educational technology, microlearning, finance education and the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning environments.
The PDK Distinguished Educator Award is presented to individuals whose work has made a significant and enduring impact on education. Founded more than a century ago, PDK International is a professional association dedicated to advancing education through research, advocacy, and professional development. With a longstanding focus on supporting educators and strengthening the education profession, PDK is particularly well known for its annual PDK Poll of the Public’s Attitudes Toward the Public Schools. Since its inception in 1969, the PDK Poll has provided vital insights into public opinion on key education issues, including school quality, funding priorities, curriculum standards and teacher preparation. Its findings are widely referenced by policymakers, educational leaders, researchers, and media outlets, shaping national debates and informing education policy across the United States.
Kelvin’s achievement reflects the collective strength and dedication of Chester Business School’s academic community. The School is committed to delivering intellectually rigorous, innovative and student-centred education, fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and the application of knowledge to real-world challenges.
This latest recognition comes during a landmark year for Chester Business School, which was named Times Higher Education (THE) Business School of the Year 2024.
