My Career in Digital Marketing started here at Chester

It’s Not All Work – A Snapshot of My Role

My current job keeps me busy and on my feet all the time!  Creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging social media content and developing and distributing targeted email campaigns are key to my role.  I also track key metrics to maximise the engagement of the club’s fanbase, and maintain and update the club’s website with time sensitive information, among other responsibilities.  It’s not all work though as I spend time developing relationships with fans, while liaising with players, coaches, and staff to promote unity and effective communication.

My Degree Prepared Me for Everything!

I wouldn’t have got my current job without everything I learnt throughout my degree, so I’d say that my Digital Marketing degree prepared me for everything!

It gave me a great understanding of Digital Marketing and the marketing world through extremely helpful lecturers who would set us up for success with engaging assignments and endless amounts of support!  I truly felt that at every lecture I learnt something valuable.

I think if you’re a potential student looking for a career in Digital Marketing, I couldn’t recommend this course enough.  It has given me a great understanding of every aspect of the marketing world while really focusing on the digital aspects. 

Along with the educational side of this course, I met some wonderful people that I still keep in contact with to this day and I’m sure any future student will say the same once they’ve been on this course.  

Making Memories at Chester

I’ve got millions of memories from during my studies, however one that sticks out to me, is the togetherness of everyone on the course during our time crafting our dissertations with everyone helping each other out and supporting each other to make sure we all achieved our goals with our chosen subjects for our dissertations.

Right off the bat I have listed the best things about Chester: the architecture, the restaurants and more importantly the drinking locations (Rip the G&D).  The nightlife, the takeaways (Garden lane, Go Fresco) but mostly the people I met when here are the best memories. 

I’ll always remember how fun freshers was, when everyone was just getting to know each other and finding out where to go in the city for nights out.  

Thanks to my time at Chester I met some lifelong friends that I’ll always be grateful for.

Learn Valuable Skills for Your Future Career

The only tip I have is just to make the most of every aspect of university while you’re here, do as much as you can and don’t stress (unless your deadline is close)!
