University partners with technology leader to become an Adobe Creative Campus
The University of Chester has become partners with Adobe making it an official Adobe Creative Campus.

This initiative aims to embed creative and productivity tools across all areas of the University, enhancing digital literacy, teaching and learning and student employability.
All staff and students now have access to Adobe Express, a versatile suite of tools for creating presentations, infographics, social media content, videos, animations and podcasts.
As an Adobe Creative Campus, the University will promote training opportunities, encourage peer learning and share best practices with other institutions in the network. Staff from across the University are actively involved in making the most of this partnership and are committed to making meaningful progress in the first year. This marks the beginning of what is hoped to be a long-term collaboration, with Adobe Express becoming an integral part of the student learning experience.
Jackie Potter, Dean of Academic Innovation, Centre for Academic Innovation and Development, said: “I’m hugely excited about the possibilities that open up to us as a Creative Campus. Making Adobe Express available to all our students and staff allows our whole community to develop creative, visually appealing digital content and explore the potential for this to transform learning, teaching and assessment. Immediately, compelling alternatives to traditional written assessment formats are easily available, such as videos, podcasts and infographics. In so many subject areas, these media types are as relevant to our students and graduates as writing essays and reports. Adobe Express offers new, authentic ways for us to embed digital capabilities in our curriculum that resonate with the contemporary workplace and active citizenship.”
Mark Sargison, Assistant Director LIS – IT Infrastructure, Learning and Information Services, added: “Becoming an Adobe Creative Campus is incredibly exciting for the University. This means every student and member of staff will have access to Adobe Express, enabling them to explore exciting opportunities to develop creative and digital skills.
“Employers are increasingly looking for graduates who can demonstrate creativity and experience with emerging technologies such as AI and this initiative will help our students stand out. It is also a fantastic opportunity for staff to explore new ways of working and enhance their own creative practice.”
