This page will provide you with all the information you need to join us from Sri Lanka. From country-specific entry requirements, application queries, local representatives, your student experience and much more, we’ll support you every step of the way!

Entry Requirements

General entry requirements for each level are provided below. Some programmes do also have additional course-specific requirements which can be found on the individual course pages. Please ensure you are able to fulfil the programme requirements and meet the academic standards expected before submitting an application.

Please note that courses that require a 2:1 degree or above will have higher equivalency requirements.

Foundation Year

Sri Lanka General Certificate of Education
General Certificate of Education (Advanced level) 3 Grades S and above
Credit Pass in Maths O Level required if undertaking Engineering, Life Sciences OR Business and Social Science pathways

Undergraduate Study

Sri Lankan General Certificate of Education (Advanced level) with BCC or above = Level 4 entry
Private Foundation Courses (NIBM, ACBT, SLIT) with 60% or above = Level 4 entry
National Diploma with good grades will be considered for entry = Level 4 entry
HND with good grades may be considered = Level 6 entry
3 Year Diploma in General Nursing = Year 3/Level 6 BSc Nursing Studies (Top Up)

Postgraduate Study

2010 and after: Successful completion recognised Bachelor degree with GPA of 3.0 or above

English language entry requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate that they have an appropriate level of English language to be eligible to study one of our foundation, undergraduate or postgraduate courses. The level of English required depends on the course applied for.
