KASHMIR

Duha Bhat

Who do I tell?
That I am not crying
For my homeland anymore
The land I’ve lived in
Has stains of blood.
Under each footstep,
Is an unknown grave.
Who do I tell?
That there’s blood on my clothes, too?
I’ve been murdered
Long ago.
Who do I tell?
That I can’t
Lose anything anymore.
The land underneath me
Is not Kashmir anymore.
I’ve dug my grave
With my own hands
And buried my self
Who do I tell?
