Biography
Dr. Afshi Yahya Khan has a PhD in Clinical Psychology and is a Chartered Psychologist (C.Psychol), currently serving at the University of Chester, Division of Psychology. She has around 15 years of experience in teaching, administration, and research supervision in higher education. Her teaching philosophy centers on making a meaningful difference in students’ lives by fostering critical thinking, self-awareness, and ethical understanding. She aims to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to engage, question, and grow. Through real-world relevance and reflective learning, she strives to inspire students to become compassionate and competent professionals.
Teaching and Supervision
Afshi is an experienced and innovative psychology educator with over 15 years of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels across diverse institutions. Her teaching spans core areas such as research methods (quantitative and qualitative), statistics, clinical psychology, personality theories, and therapeutic interventions.
