Biography
Ioana is a lecturer for the Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MA TESOL) course and in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) in the Centre for Student Exchange & Language Development, Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, the University of Chester, UK. She also has key responsibilities such as leader of the Pre-sessional English Course (PSE) for the international postgraduate students intending to study at the university. Ioana also teaches on the In-sessional Academic English provision (ISE), developing materials for the PG Management and Engineering groups.
Teaching and Supervision
Ioana is leader and teacher on the Pre-sessional English Course for students intending to progress to a postgraduate programme at the University of Chester. In her teaching on the In-sessional Academic English provision, Ioana specialises in teaching students studying scientific and business/ management subjects. on the MA TESOL programme, Ioana teaches Research Methods and supervises a variety of dissertation topic..
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Ioana's scholarly interests include multiculturality and academic writing, often perceived as a real challenge by both international and home students. She is also interested in research methods, particularly in the methods of designing studies and analysing data for applied linguistics and TESOL.
