Professor Kate Knight
Associate Dean

Biography
Kate is Associate Dean of Chester Medical School, which delivers a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in clinical and biomedical sciences. This exciting suite of programmes includes Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) MBChB, Physician Associates, Biomedical Sciences and a suite of Applied Medicine MSCs. Kate is passionate about the student and staff experience, quality of provision and promoting compassionate leadership. Kate is an expert in practice education and simulated learning and has been recognised for her international and national innovation in this space across multiple health disciplines. Kate is a registered children’s nurse and volunteer youth leader. Kate is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Kate is a Partnership Governor at Countess of Chester NHS Trust.
Teaching and Supervision
I teach across all levels of the pre-registration and post-registration programmes. I teach and facilitate simulated practice within the Faculty.
