Chester boasts impressive facilities across Exton Park and neighbouring sites catering to our ever-growing University sports clubs and recreational users.

Gym

The Fitness Suite comprises of the Gym and Swimming Pool and is based on the ground floor of the Price Tower building at Exton Park campus. 

Our gym has over 100 pieces of equipment: 
- Cardio machines 
- Resistance machines 
- Free weights 
- Lifting Platform
- Functional exercise space  
- Spin studio 

SPIN STUDIO:
Located within the gym, our Spin studio contains 10 Spin bikes and MyRide® virtual software technology enabling you to select the workout of your choice with real-world trails to choose from.

Payment

We accept card and online payments for gym memberships. If you are paying in person at reception, please ensure you bring your student or staff card.

Swimming Pool

We have a 25-metre length Swimming Pool at Exton Park Campus with a depth ranging from 1.5-metres to 3.5-metres. Our Swimming Pool can be used recreationally as well as a training facility for our University Swim and Waterpolo Clubs.

The Swimming Pool is free with any gym membership or £60 for 12 months without a gym membership.

Active Zones

We have Active Zones at Queens Park and University Centre Birkenhead Marriss House sites.

No membership is required to use our Active Zones.

Please be aware that the active zones are only accessible during site opening hours.

University Centre Birkenhead, Marriss House facilities include:

Treadmill, Recline Bike, Spin Bike, Rowing Machine, Mats, Core bags, Skipping Ropes, Steps and Plyometric Box.

Queens Park Active Zone include:

Table Tennis, Rowing Machine, Kettlebells, Mats, Bike and Cross trainer

Fitness Classes

We have a range of classes to suit all abilities and our classes are run by qualified Fitness Instructors. All our Fitness Classes are FREE. Must be BOOKED via Playwaze
