Academic Appeals

The appeals process enables students to raise concerns relating to the decision of the Awards Assessment Board.

The appeals process enables students to raise concerns relating to the decision of the Awards Assessment Board, the Progression Assessment Board, the Mitigating Circumstances Board and, in limited circumstances, the Academic Conduct Review Panel.

  • All appeals are required to be submitted within 10 days of the result notification.
  • There are restricted grounds for appeal and strict deadlines for the submission of an academic appeal, the details can be found in the Academic Appeals Policy and Procedure below.
  • In no circumstances will a successful appeal result in the award of additional marks or the change of degree classification.
