Students will be introduced to key business functions and principles alongside operational and strategic practices in the modern world of business. Business maths skills are developed in conjunction with Excel functionalities.

This module introduces key concepts and the fundamentals of industry skills for effective marketing. Students will identify international marketing campaigns and some of the challenges for these. Social media and 'out of house' approaches will be explored alongside a practical understanding of marketing tools, product promotion and placement, and marketing mix for global brands.

This module enables students to take ownership of a personal project. A key focus is supporting a student to research and generate an idea. This will include workshop techniques, how to produce a proposal for a practitioner project and guidance on the planning process. Students will have the autonomy to work within their chosen discipline or area of interest. A proposal and research log are key aspects of learning and assessment, with greater focus placed on the learning curve and ambition of the project than the final product.
