Policing

Our MSc provides graduates with an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the complexities of Policing, Law Enforcement and Security in contemporary society. The MSc will appeal to those wanting to enhance their prospects of a career in the wider law enforcement and security sectors, plus those already qualified and working.

The Institute of Policing is situated at our Wheeler site in Chester. We provide a dynamic learning environment for students wishing to pursue a career in law enforcement, and you will benefit from a supportive atmosphere, open-access computer labs, as well as social hubs and catering facilities.

The course is delivered by academic staff that are former police officers and subject matter experts in their own right, who are able to call upon a wide range of professional, practical real-world examples. Teaching is supported by senior representatives from local police services and the National Crime Agency.
