Your guide to: Arrivals Day

Arrivals Day is just around the corner! Unless you've made previous arrangements with our Disability & Inclusion team, you'll be moving in on Sunday 27th September. 

Here's everything you need to know: 

Check your emails

We've sent you everything you need to know about Arrivals Day to your personal email address - please check it for all the info you need!

Complete the Pre-Arrival Checklist

In between packing, take some time to ensure you've completed every task on our Pre-Arrival Checklist. This will speed things up on Arrivals Day! In particular, make sure you've uploaded a photo for your student ID and download both the UoC App and the Microsoft Authenticator App.

Head to Exton Park

Head to Exton Park for your pre-agreed arrival time. Be sure to enter via the main entrance off Parkgate Road (CH1 4BJ) - and allow plenty of your time for your journey.

Park up 

When you enter Exton Park, a member of our Security and Welcome team will greet you and direct you to a suitable carpark. If you're not travelling by car, head to our Red Welcome Tent. You can leave your belongings securely here while you complete your in-person enrolment. 

Head to Seaborne Library

Once you've dropped your bags or parked up (please leave your bags in the car), head to Seaborne Library. Follow the crowd or ask for help from a student (yellow tops) or member of staff (red tops) if you get lost. 

Collect your keys and student ID card

When you arrive at Seaborne Library, you'll be issued with your keys, your student ID card and your new yellow student lanyard. Please remember to wear your lanyard and ID at all times at our sites.

Get help and support

In Seaborne Library, you can also get help and support from a range of teams including:

• Accommodation
• Finance
• Registry (timetables and enrolment)
• LIS (UoC app, Microsoft Authenticator app, WiFi)
• Catering
• Student Services
• Chester Students' Union

Move in

It's time to move in! Head back to your car to collect your belongings. Need a trolley? We have limited numbers at our Red Welcome Tent - just go and ask for you! Depending on your accommodation location, you may also be advised to move your car to a more suitable car park.

Get involved and meet your neighbours

Once you've said goodbye to your loved ones and unpacked, it's time to meet your new neighbours! Knock on your neighbour's door to say hello - or head to the Entertainment Zone outside the School of Education for free food and social activities.
