Ashley Wood

Biography
Ashley first joined the University of Chester in 2015 as an Undergraduate student, where he graduated with a Cybersecurity BSc(Hons) (First class) degree, before later completing and graduating from his MSc in Advanced Computer Science (Distinction).
Teaching and Supervision
Ashley is a Lecturer in Computer Science teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He leads the Foundations of Cybersecurity, Conducting Cybercrime Investigations, Research Methods and Penetration Testing and Active Defence modules. He also supervises a number of dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Ashley is also the programme leader for the newly introduced MSc Applied Artificial Intelligence programme.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Ashley’s research interests lie within the fields of Cybersecurity and Computer Science, in particular his main interests include; Malware/ransomware analysis Digital Forensics Penetration Testing Digital Forensics Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDPS)
