Laura Haddick-oxley

Biography
Laura teaches on the MA Art Therapy programme at the University of Chester, UK. She teaches across the course and leads the Practice Experience module. Laura also leads on placement coordination, sourcing placements and supporting external stakeholders in a range of different settings. She attends the Faculty Practice Committee in this capacity, representing the MA Art Therapy programme. Laura is also a CAID Affiliate, providing peer support for staff engaging with the TALENT, CERTS, and PGCert programmes at the University of Chester.
Teaching and Supervision
Laura teaches on the MA Art Therapy programme at the University of Chester. In this role she provides group supervision for art therapy trainees in placement, experiential workshops, and lectures. She is interested in the ways in which art therapy theory and practice can inform pedagogical approaches when supporting trainee art therapists in their learning.
Research and Knowledge Exchange
Laura is an early career researcher, with a keen interest in the areas where art therapy practice and pedagogy intersect. She is also interested in the use of technology in art therapy contexts, particularly video games. Laura is a member of the TLInnovate Pedagogy Special Interest Group and the Education Technology Forum at the University of Chester.
