To mark Refugee Week, the Student Experience team has released a brand-new episode of The Student Support Podcast. In this episode, Shaunagh and Jonny welcome Sandra Hughes (Student Experience Projects Manager) to discuss the University of Chester work in gaining University of Sanctuary status, Refugee Week activities and the vital support we provide for sanctuary-seeking students. 
Sandra explains the terminology around displaced persons and shares the importance of using inclusive, non-judgmental language. We delve into the challenges faced by sanctuary-seeking students and how universities can be of support. We find out more about our Sanctuary Scholarship, the process students go through and the benefits it has for those who receive the scholarship.
