We understand that some mature students may have specific concerns, such as worries around academic learning, or additional personal or family commitments. If you would like advice on academic, personal, or aspirational aspects of your university life, there is an extensive support network available from our fantastic Student Services team, the Careers and Employability team, specific support networks, and your own Personal Academic Tutor.

Start your journey with a Foundation Year
Studying a Foundation Year could be a good option if you don't have traditional qualifications for a specific degree, but are passionate about learning, self-development and pursuing a particular career.
At Chester, we offer four-year undergraduate degrees that include a Foundation Year, so you're an undergraduate student and part of a vibrant community from day one.
For mature students, there is no minimum entry requirement. We review applications on a case-by-case basis and recruit through interviews, assessing your life experience and commitment to study.
