History and Archaeology

We offer a diverse selection of optional modules across each of our courses, creating a degree that suits you and your interests. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain practical skills and subject-based work experience to prepare you for a wide range of career pathways.

You will be based at Exton Park, where you can benefit from modern teaching facilities, alongside social hubs and accommodation. A short walk away is the historic city of Chester, and we visit North Wales and North West England for field trips and fieldwork.

During your studies, you can benefit from our links with heritage, museum and archive agencies in the local area, and specialist facilities such as an archaeological laboratory, workroom and equipment. We also have our own research library, in addition to the main library holdings.
