Checklist
- Consistent headings — Ensure each page uses a clear title with an even heading and sub heading.
- Meaningful link text — I’ve replaced “click here”, “here”, and full URLs with descriptive link labels. Screen reader users often navigate using a list of links, so links need to indicate their destination.
- External links settings — Please check that all external links are set to open in a new window.
- Paste as plain text — Copy content in as plain text to avoid formatting issues.
- Bullet spacing — Some bullet lists had excessive white space; I correct this by removing and reapplying the bullet formatting.
Headings and sub headings
Be mindful of using both the Headings and sub headings for 2 words or more. Try to be as even as possible with number of words on each.
Links
Please do not use links that say “click here” or display the full URL is generally discouraged because they create accessibility, usability, and readability issues.
Accessibility
People using screen readers often navigate by listening to a list of links on a page. If several links are labelled "click here", they provide no context about where the link goes.
