Online Enrolment

Group of young people working together. Creative business people in modern office.

Enrolment is an easy process by which you confirm your status as a student at the University and check that we have the correct course and personal details for you. The enrolment process is distinct from the admissions process, through which you receive an offer and subsequently confirm your acceptance of a place on a particular course.

Enrolment must be undertaken at the start of your course and the beginning of each academic year after that; failure to enrol may jeopardise your status as a student at the University. Enrolment is also essential so that, if applicable, we can report your attendance as a student to external bodies such as the Student Loans Company in order for loans/ grants to be released.

Follow these simple steps:

Before you Arrive

Enrolment is the process by which you officially become a student at the University of Chester (UoC). You must complete Stage 1 and Stage 2 to enrol fully.  Stage 1 must be completed before you arrive.

Once your place at the University has been confirmed, we will send you a "Welcome to UoC" email containing your Student ID and password. This email will also prompt you to complete Stage 1 of the enrolment process. Typically, you will receive this email within a few weeks of your place being officially confirmed and sent to the email address you provided on your application form. It is ESSENTIAL that you complete the online enrolment before you arrive on campus.

Stage 1 - Online Enrolment - Complete before you arrive.

  • Online Enrolment is the first stage of your university enrolment; it is an easy process by which you confirm your status as a student at the University and check that we have the correct course and personal details for you. You may also be asked to provide some additional mandatory information. The enrolment process is distinct to the admissions process, where you are offered and subsequently confirm your acceptance of a place on a particular course.
  • Online Enrolment must be undertaken at the start of your course and the beginning of each academic year. Failure to enrol may jeopardise your status as a student at the University.
  • During Online Enrolment you will be asked to read and agree to the Student Enrolment Conditions and the University’s Student Privacy Notice. It is not possible to enrol on your course of study if you do not agree to these legal notices.
  • Other essential tasks, which are part of your university enrolment include submitting your photo, paying tuition fees (if required at this stage), logging into your student email account, and collecting your university ID card during welcome week.
